Better Markets Writes to CFTC Commissioners Praising Their Leadership in Addressing Climate-Related Risks

On June 24th Better Markets sent a Letter to Acting CFTC Chairman Rostin Benham and CFTC Commissioner Dan Berkovitz praising their leadership in bringing attention to climate-related risks and using the public visibility of their positions to call for urgent action to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy. The CFTC, and other regulatory agencies, will have a key role in addressing the developing climate emergency and we support the agencies' continuing efforts to find regulatory solutions to the deleterious effects of climate-change-related risks on financial institutions, market participants, and financial markets.
